After months and months of waiting, my exchange with Rotary International begins in two days. It's been an overwhelming last week here but I think that's normal. I visited my dad in Sand Point on the Aleutians and got to see them catch 70,000 lbs of fish in just a few hours, so that was really exciting! I also had some friends over last night for my going away party and it made me realize how strong of a support group I have. I'm heading to Aubenas, France on Monday with a grateful heart and close to no understanding of the French language. I'm not too worried, though. But I actually am it just goes back and forth every day. I can't really explain how I feel but I know it's mostly excitement but lots of fear too.. And saying goodbye to my family is super lame to think about (but I know it's worth it!!). But anyway, this blog will keep my family, friends, and Rotarians up to date on what's going on during my exchange so feel free to read if you want!
